This Sunday’s Raahgiri was all about spreading the message of clean India, amid the usual activities of zumba, yoga, cycle stunts and football. Soch, the theatre group, performed a street play to educate the people about the use of dustbins. Their melodic play was an instant hit with the Raahgirs. Rajiv, the leader of the group, told us, “We wanted to spread awareness about keeping the country clean and I think we have been pretty successful in spreading our message.
A member of the audience came to us and told us that after watching our play he stopped the people from throwing garbage around.”
Adding to this, a member of the audience, Jasneet Rayat, said, “It is good that people are doing these plays and spreading the message of cleanliness. I make sure that I keep my city clean. My husband used to throw stuff outside the window when we were in the car, but now he has stopped doing so because of my constant nagging.”
On the Galleria side of Sushant Lok’s Raahgiri, a boot camp organized by Desi Warrior, which organises obstacle races around the country, attracted a lot of attention. Rish Saini, co-owner, told us, “Participating in a boot campus utilizes all parts of your body and is extremely good for health. We want to spread awareness about how stimulating obstacle runs could be.”
